The Sun West School Division Board of Education held its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in Rosetown at the Sun West Learning Centre.
- Members of the Sun West Student Leadership Program Youth Consultation Team made their annual presentation to the Board. The Team had surveyed over 1000 students on their views and held discussions with delegates of the Sun West Student Leadership Conference. Based on the data they gathered they made recommendations to the Board in the areas of extracurricular activities, band programs, language courses, school spirit, diversity and inclusion.
- The Sun West Practical and Applied Arts (PAA) Committee met with the Board to present ideas for offering students better access to PAA courses.
- The Board reviewed the recently completed audit of the Sun West Distance Learning Centre (DLC). Overall the auditors felt the Sun West DLC is working well. They also made some useful suggestions that could improve operations.
- The Board passed the 2022-23 Budget for submission to the Ministry of Education for their review and approval.
